Our jewelry is made of vermeil and sterling silver, and adorned with fine stones. As the materials we use are both noble and resistant, each piece of jewelry is designed to last a lifetime, and to be passed on to future generations.
Vermeil is a precious metal that resists shocks, scratches and the wear and tear of time. Like silver, it resists water and acquires a patina over the years, giving your jewelry a unique charm.
Despite the durability of our precious jewels, we strongly recommend that you adopt a few simple gestures to preserve them for as long as possible and maintain their brilliance, paying particular attention to pieces adorned with stones.
- Apply your perfumes and cosmetics before wearing your jewels, so as not to alter their shine or tarnish their stones.
- To maintain the shine of your piece, rub with chamois or absorbent cotton.
- In the event of encrusted dirt or silver oxidation, you can gently scrub with a soft toothbrush or sponge in soapy water. It's important to dry your jewelry thoroughly afterwards with a soft, dry cloth, to remove any traces of moisture.
- Avoid contact with chemicals, cosmetics, perfume, chlorine or other corrosive products, to avoid damaging the coating or surface of your jewelry.
- Although your silver or vermeil jewels are water-resistant, it's best to avoid contact with water to prevent oxidation.
- Remember to take off your jewelry during sporting activities to avoid contact with perspiration, which dulls your jewels, and during household chores or when you're sleeping, to prevent them from clashing and scratching, and preserve their shine.
- When you're not wearing them, keep your jewelry in its Nekala pouch and away from humidity to protect it from knocks and scratches, as well as from silver oxidation.
Over time, wear and tear is inevitable. Like silver, vermeil takes on a patina that lends a charm to your jewelry, making it as unique as the wearer.
