Repair
We offer a repair service on estimate for each of your damaged Nekala pieces, in order to give them a second life and allow them to accompany you even longer.
We carry out repairs within 14 days from the date of receipt of your damaged jewelry.
Please note that when it comes to repairs on your jewelry's stonework, the delays may be longer, as specified when establishing your estimate and entirely dependent on the reactivity of our suppliers.
Gilding
With time, it is possible that the gold layer of your Nekala jewel in vermeil wears out and that the color of the silver appears on the surface. In these cases, we offer a gilding service to renew the gold layer.
In the case of vermeil, the gilding is done directly on the silver. There is no intermediate layer of copper or other metals that would be applied upstream, found in other more common types of gilding, and allowing to smooth the surface of the jewel before being gilded.
Thus, the gilding of the vermeil will adapt to the surface of your jewel. If it is scratched, has dents or other marks, they will not be removed.
We always do a light initial polishing of the piece to prepare it for gilding. However, if your piece of jewelry has more significant marks that you would like to remove, you can contact our repair service first, in order to perform a more extensive polishing.
Upon receipt of your jewel, we will gild it within 20 days.
